In the course of the year 2018, District Berlin launched D’EST: A Multi-Curatorial Online Platform for Video Art from the Former ‘East’ and ‘West,’ which will be accessible online until the end of 2020. In collaboration with fifteen international curators, forty-three artists, and collectives, as well as other cultural experts, the online platform has published a total of six screening chapters mapping the post-socialist transformation. Their thematic focal points delineate post-socialism along post-geographic, horizontal, (post-)conceptual, and feminist perspectives. For 2019 and 2020, D’EST’s closed selection of artists and chapters has received worldwide invitations for further screening events.
