ARCHIVE OF GESTURES studies the embodiment of revolt and revolution. Movements and practices found in documents of supposedly completed or failed revolutions from 1989/90 to today are processed into a series of poetic-conceptual GESTURES, each consisting of a video work, corresponding web collage, and activations. These initiate and document searches for visual, textual, somatic methodologies of releasing onto the present the stored up political impulse of past emancipations.
